Advocacy

AGC of Wyoming advocates for the construction industry through collaboration with state and national organizations, fostering partnerships with local governments and key economic sectors like energy and tourism. With strong relationships across Wyoming’s Executive, Legislative, and Federal branches, AGC provides reliable information, offers actionable solutions, and supports pro-construction candidates through its CONPAC. The organization also engages in regulatory processes and litigation to protect and advance industry priorities, ensuring construction remains vital to Wyoming’s economy.

Collaboration
AGC of Wyoming actively enhances its impact by collaborating with other construction and infrastructure-focused organizations at the state and national levels. Recognizing the importance of a unified approach to Wyoming's growth and development, we maintain strong relationships with local governments and their affiliated organizations. Our issue-driven collaboration extends to key sectors of Wyoming’s economy, including energy, tourism, and conservation, ensuring that construction priorities align with the state’s broader economic and environmental goals.

State Engagement
AGC of Wyoming maintains well-established professional relationships with Wyoming’s elected officials in both the Executive and Legislative branches. As a trusted source of information, we aim to identify industry challenges and offer pragmatic, actionable solutions. Our legislative successes demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach, with numerous construction-focused initiatives enacted into law. We actively engage in the political process by supporting candidates who value the construction industry’s critical role in Wyoming’s economy. Through the member-supported AGC Political Action Committee (CONPAC), we advocate for thoughtful consideration of industry priorities. AGC also collaborates with state agencies, offering expertise in policy development and communication to benefit Wyoming’s construction sector.

Federal Engagement
AGC of Wyoming fosters strong relationships with Wyoming’s Congressional Delegation and their staff, ensuring our members' interests are well represented at the federal level. Regular communication, participation in meetings, and collaboration with national organizations allow us to amplify construction priorities across a broader audience in Congress. AGC also works closely with federal agencies, including the Department of Transportation, OSHA, EPA, and others, submitting comments on proposed regulations and advocating for policies that support the construction industry. Member contributions to the AGC Litigation Fund enable us to defend and advance our industry’s interests through strategic litigation, including direct participation, interventions, and amicus briefs.

A Legacy of Leadership
AGC of Wyoming has a long-standing tradition of leadership in addressing critical issues impacting the construction industry, including workforce development, infrastructure investment, regulatory compliance, and economic development. Our proactive engagement at both state and federal levels ensures that the construction industry remains a cornerstone of Wyoming’s economy, contributing to the state's growth and resilience.
